Two BW-WA4 speakers can be paired for a stereo effect. Its 3,600 mAh battery offers approximately 18 hours of music playback and charges via USB-C.
Sound and connectivity
The BW-WA4’s 30 W output makes it suitable for listening at home or outdoors. Bluetooth 5.0 lets you connect it to devices such as a smartphone, tablet or computer. In practice, connection quality will also depend on the distance between devices and any obstacles in the way.
If you have two BW-WA4 speakers, you can pair them for a stereo effect with separate channels. This setup could be useful for a gathering at home or a small party. You need two speakers to use this feature.
Durability and portability
An IPX6 rating means the speaker is resistant to powerful water jets, making it suitable for outdoor use where it might get wet. It does not, however, cover immersion or guarantee that the device cannot be damaged by water. IPX6 also does not specify a level of dust protection.
The speaker measures 215 × 55 × 68 mm and weighs 689 g. It will fit in a backpack or larger bag for a trip, although its weight of nearly 700 g is worth considering when carrying it.
Battery and charging
According to the stated figures, the 3,600 mAh battery lasts for approximately 18 hours of music playback or up to 20 hours of talk time. These are different uses, so the talk-time figure should not be confused with music playback time. Actual listening time can depend on factors such as volume.
Charging takes approximately three hours via USB-C, so the speaker can be prepared for another listening session or trip once the battery is depleted.
