Xiaomi 18, Pro and Pro Max
The standard Xiaomi 18 is expected to be joined by the Pro and Pro Max in the new flagship series. The Pro Max could take the top spot in the range, a position held by the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in the previous generation.
However, the pause in Xiaomi 18 Ultra development does not by itself indicate which features the Pro Max might inherit. The differences between the models and their final specifications remain unclear.
What the rear display could be used for
The Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max are expected to have a secondary display on the back. Its functions are not yet known, but it could potentially be used to check notifications without turning the phone over or to preview selfies taken with the rear cameras.
A preview would be especially useful for anyone who wants to use a rear camera for a self-portrait while still being able to see the composition. These are possible uses, not a confirmed list of features.
Announcement and availability in Europe
The series is expected to be announced in September 2026. An announcement at that time would not necessarily mean the phones will go on sale in Europe before Christmas.
For prospective buyers in Europe, another important question is whether the Pro and Pro Max will be included in Xiaomi’s official European range. Their regional availability remains unclear.
