Astrolux BC6 is a 2000 lm bike light with 6 LEDs, a 4800 mAh battery, USB-C and a power bank, but its maximum output has not been independently measured

Astrolux BC6 is a front bike light with six LEDs, a built-in 4800 mAh battery, USB-C charging, five modes and a claimed maximum of 2000 lm. Its metal body has IPX6 protection, and the light can also serve as a power bank in an emergency.
There are many user reviews of the BC6, but high-quality independent lumen measurements are harder to find. It is therefore better to describe 2000 lm as a claimed maximum, not a laboratory-confirmed value.
Six LEDs and a wide beam
The six-LED design is aimed more at wide illumination in front of the bike than at a narrow long-range beam.
That is practical for riding at night, because cyclists need to see the road, the roadside and the area in front of the wheel.
Claimed 2000 lm
Users repeatedly describe the BC6 as a very bright light and praise its metal construction. However, the exact 2000 lm figure cannot be confirmed without an integrating sphere.
The same applies to the stated beam distance of around 300 m. For a bike light, usable beam distribution is more important than extreme throw anyway.
Five modes
The BC6 offers:
- Low,
- Medium,
- High,
- Strobe,
- SOS.
The three steady modes cover most riding needs. Strobe is more suitable for increasing daytime visibility than for lighting the road after dark.
4800 mAh battery
The manufacturer states a runtime of up to approximately 12 hours, which applies to the low mode. Runtime will be significantly shorter at maximum brightness.
With lights, it is always important to distinguish between two marketing figures: maximum brightness and maximum runtime do not apply at the same time.
USB-C
Charging is via USB-C. Some materials state an approximate two-hour charging time, but the actual time depends on the power source and the battery’s condition.
Power bank function
The BC6 can provide an emergency charge for a phone. However, account for conversion losses and the fact that some of the energy is needed by the light itself.
It is not a replacement for a large, standalone power bank, but the feature can be useful if your GPS or phone runs out of charge.
IPX6
IPX6 is suitable for heavy rain. It does not mean the light is designed to be submerged.
The rubber port cover must be properly closed when riding in the rain.
Aluminum body
The metal body helps with mechanical durability and heat dissipation. It may get warm in the high mode, which is normal for a powerful LED light.
The correct angle matters
A powerful light aimed too high can dazzle oncoming drivers and cyclists. On the road, it is best to angle the beam down so that its brightest area falls in front of the bike.
User experiences
The product has many customer reviews with a very high average rating. The most frequently praised features are:
- brightness,
- sturdy metal body,
- price,
- power bank function.
These reviews, however, are no substitute for precise lumen measurements.

Is the Astrolux BC6 worth it?
If you want a powerful, versatile light for night riding, it looks very good. Its biggest advantages are the large battery, metal body, USB-C and power bank function.
However, I would treat the maximum figures of 2000 lm and 300 m as manufacturer claims. More practically, actual users rate the light as bright and robust.
